GDUFS has been running two Joint Education Programs officially accredited by the Ministry of Education: MA TESOL (Accreditation No.: MOE44GB1A20020320O) in cooperation with the University of Leeds and MA English Language Education (Accreditation No.: MOE44UK1A20121316N) with the University of Reading. Both programs are rated “Excellent" by the MOE. Since the implementation of the two, GDUFS has taken advantage of its excellence in Linguistics and introduced the abundant and high-end resources from Britain to promote the cultivation of highly qualified English teachers for domestic secondary and higher education, which has gained GDUFS a good reputation and great social recognition.
Established in 2002, the joint one-year MA TESOL Program enrolls 30 students each year who are in-service English teachers. After finishing the related studies, students are approved by the University of Leeds and conferred the degree of MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

Established in 2012, the joint one-year MA ELE Program enrolls 40 graduate students each year. After finishing the related studies, students are examined and approved by the University of Reading and conferred the degree of MA in English Language Education.
