From October 18th to 22nd, 2021, the series of online lectures on Political Metaphorology, as part of the Famous Overseas Teacher Project of Guangdong province, was held successfully in the Faculty of European Languages and Cultures. Professor Анатолий Прокопьевич Чудинов (Anatoly Prokopyevich Chudinov) and Professor Руженцева Наталья Борисовна (Ruzhentseva Natalia Borisovna), both well-known scholars of political linguistics research in Russia and professors at Ural State Pedagogical University, delivered five impressive academic lectures to our students and teachers of the Russian Department. Master and doctoral candidates majoring in Russian at Dalian University of Foreign Languages were invited to engage in study and discussions in the lectures together with our students. This activity received strong support from Professor Liu Hong, a prominent scholar in political linguistics research in China and the President of Dalian University of Foreign Languages.
