On the morning of June 17th, Rodolfo Montecinos, Consul General of Chile in Guangzhou, visited GDUFS. Jiao Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, met the guests at the VIP Reception Hall of the Administration Building of the North Campus. The two sides exchanged views on cultivating Spanish language talents and promoting friendly and cooperative relations.

Jiao Fangtai welcomed the delegation and introduced various information about GDUFS to them. He said GDUFS specializes in cultivating international talents. China-Chile relations, especially China-Chile economic and trade cooperation, have long led Latin American countries. GDUFS has close and extensive cooperation and exchanges with Chilean higher education institutions in student and faculty exchanges, scientific research and so on. He pointed out the unstoppable trend of globalization. Due to the fact, he hoped to constantly optimize the international talent training mode, promote the cooperation between GDUFS and Chilean higher education institutions and make positive contributions to the exchanges and cooperation between China and Chile in education, culture, economy and trade.
Rodolfo Montecinos said he was amazed by China’s high-speed development and GDUFS’s distinctive achievement in international education. He also expressed his gratitude to GDUFS for its effort in cultivating Spanish language talents. He said the Chile-China friendship wins popular support and hoped to carry out exchanges in various fields and at various levels in the future so as to push bilateral friendly relations to a new level.
